Topic #46734 4 posts Started by goferris
couple days ago i changed my turn signals to be red instead of green last night when i drove it to get some food one of the lights in the dash wouldn't work. it was the one that lights up the right side of the gauges. i took out the gauges again checked the connection and it seemed to be connected just fine. then i tried it again to see if it would work. and it did and so i put it all back in and tried it again to make sure and now it didn't. confused.gif wtf? please someone tell me that this would be an easy fix. i am going to take it apart again tonight but if there are any pointers that would be much appreciatted. thanks guys

You changed the actual bulb in the cluster?
Or just the rubber/plastic "condom" on it?

It sounds like a bad connection.
I had the kind of same problem last night. Except i shorted out the A/C controls while working with them. Right after that i felt smoke. What happened, the circuit board burned one of the little copper roads, i lost the illumination.

Solution: I soldered a bridge with a small wire and soldering paste, to make up the connection. Chek bulbs first, then check if any of the conections are burned,. If in doubt i will have an expert take a look at it.

Hope it helps.

hey thanks for the help. i went to radio shack and got some new bulbs and i guess that was the problem. the only thing that made me wonder is that it turned back on for a second then back off as if it was a wiring problem. well hopefully that was all that was wrong with it. i
