My buddys got a 94 with a 3rd gen. Just on saturday it started breaking up @ WOT in the upper rpm range. Any ideas of what could be wrong?

if its the same RPM every time its probably the coil

Did he change out his fuel pump when he did the swap? I've seen this happen on a 2nd gen CS motor.

It was the plugs, turns out he had some junk Iridium plugs in it. Suckers were a desert sand orange, its nuts!
