help ......my engine starts up , but yet when i rev it , it back fires , and then when i drop the gas , it will idle for 2 secs then cut off ... can anyone give some advice on this situation

spark plug wires in the right order
Vacuum leak? Faulty AFM? Mechanical timing? Can you give us some history on what was done when the engine was swapped?

I say timing also. I think you need to find a new mechanic... or preferably... do it yourself.

Check your injectors .. sometimes a lose injector plug causes tht .. Happened with me once ...

wel i bought the car wit a 2nd Gen 3sgte ...... and found that it need to be rebuilt. So i spoke to my dad bout it , and he had this friend who is a mech. , so i toke the car to him , it sat there for almost 2 months ..and the guy had only taken out the head. .. So i got pissed and towed it back home ....and continue the rebuild by myself with a new mech. , he is pretty good but right now i think he is rushin the project.
