I know you guys are from Canada so ill explain a thing or 2 to u about the US.

Drinking and driving is illegal here...idk how u guys do things were ur from, but drinks and cars dont really mix well here...lol

I know you're from the States so I'll explain a thing or 2 to you about Canada.

We have this thing here called humour... that's what that little smiley meant.

Also, even though we're often referred to as "The Great White north", it doesn't mean us Canadians lack enough oxygen to our brain to drink and drive. (Just enough to drive 8 hours to a frickin' car meet though )

No hard feelings, just crossin' the Ts and dotting the Is.

Alright, so heres the skinny on everything thus far.

-- Weather Forecast looks good!
*Friday...92F for a high, PM isolated thunderstorms. 30% chance of precip.
*Saturday...81F for a high, partly cloudy. 10% chance of precip.
*Sunday...82F for a high, mostly sunny. 10% chance of precip.

-- Friday during the day I will be around all day. I live about 15 minutes from the hotel in Panther Valley/Hackettstown, 5 minutes from DWG, and across the street from Triplebrook Campground.....so I'll be meeting up with everyone throughout the day Friday as you show up so we can all chill out. Just give me a call if you need help with anything, I know most of you have my cell number, if you don't and you need it just PM me.

-- If everyone camping at Triplebrook can be there in the morning, I'll check you guys in and help you set up your stuff before the meet. Theres a pool at the campground too, so bring your swim trunks if you want.

-- Jason is the man, he's getting us a case (100) hot dogs and more than enough 6 oz. burgers and some italian sausage, plus about 5 lbs of cheese. WE STILL NEED BUNS. Jenn, if you can get them again from your work, we can all chip in like last time. If thats a no-go then I can get us a 10% discount on buns from work. Daftboy and Daftsgirl (Eric and Lauren) volunteered to bring a grille but I imagine there will be more than one of those as well.

-- I have an AWESOME drive planned that we can take at some point in the weekend. It's about ~60 miles and its best driven during the day....I plotted it out on a road map the other day with Jeff and finally got to drive it today. Its a sick drive to say the least. We can decide when to hit it up at the meet.

-- I have Bryan (Valo666) and Steven's (GTSOwner) numbers and they have my number should they need to contact us on their long drive.

the local supermarket's having a sale on POWERADE beverages and Pepsi. i could go grab them if no one's covering drinks yet. but anyone's got a cooler?

ATTENTION:

Change of meeting place for Saturday.

I looked in the local paper and there are athletic events scheduled a majority of the day on Saturday at the Tunnel Field.
For us, this means that parking spots would be VERY limited, and parents that are there might raise a stink over our presence and could unfortunately call the cops since we don't really have a "permit" to be there.

So heres the solution:


Right in the Delaware Water Gap on the PA side of the Delaware River is a large parking lot thats along PA-611. It's right within the gap in the mountains so its easy to find, and its much more scenic than the field we usually meet at. Heres the view along PA-611 from a recent cruise -





And this is the view from the parking lot we can meet at -




Its a nice picnic and parking area with a great view and a nice stone gazebo that we can barbeque at. Lots of road to give cruises on as well. It might actually be a better location than previous meets at the tunnel field.

DIRECTIONS TO NEW MEETING SPOT:

For most of you, the location change isn't a problem because you'll be following us from the hotel to here anyway. But for those that are coming seperate from the main group here are all the directions you'll need.

From points East:
Take Route 80 Westbound through the Delaware Water Gap and across the Delaware River toll bridge into Pennsylvania. You will take the first exit which is Exit 310 for PA-611 and follow signs for PA-611 South. You will stay on Route 611 South until you come to the first parking lot directly along the road on your right with lots of Celicas in it.

From points West:
Take Route 80 Eastbound until you get to the last exit in Pennsylvania which is Exit 310. You will stay straight after the exit ramp and follow signs for PA-611 South. Stay on PA-611 South until you see the first parking lot on your right with lots of Celicas.

Don't bring it. You WILL be asked to leave. We all have a lot of money & time invested in our cars. I will not have an accident because somebody decided to throw back a few. We will be driving for some of this meet, so drunk or buzzed driving is not acceptable.

Well it looks like Ashes is comming down on Saturday afternoon so its just you and I driving over. You can meet me at mia casa or we can meet off 84 somewhere, like the foam and wash near walmart. w/e superdupersprynt

Vin, the location doesn't really have an address since it isn't a business or residence of any kind. If you follow my detailed directions above, you will have no problems at all.
If you're still concerned, then you can always Mapquest to the hotel and meet us in the morning for the drive down. Either way, getting there is going to be painfully easy.

As far as buns, condiments, and drinks go, I can hook us up with a 10% discount for whatever we need. We can just pitch in a couple bucks a piece and run to get stuff before the meet this way it's cheaper for everyone. Lauren (Daftsgirl) and I will bring coolers.


At some point Saturday afternoon before its dark, I'd love to show you guys on an AWESOME cruise. I promise you guys will have a blast.




As Jeff said, alcohol consumption is an ABSOLUTE no go during the day Saturday. We won't have it, and neither will the police and rangers that patrol the area.

Keep it responsible on Saturday night at the bar, and when you get back to the hotel and campsites you can drink all you want.

Lets not take any chances, keep things safe and sober.
