Last year we had some decent turnouts with the mini-meets, where we hung out and took some pics and whatnot. I figure that for 2007 the New Jersey area could use a fun, smaller driving-based meet to make for a good time. Same place as last year, we can meet up around Delaware Water Gap and go from there if that suits everyone.

I want to try something a little different this year with the mini-meets.....we'll pull an all-nighter cruise on a Saturday night, and we can do some safe spirited driving on some beautiful roads through the mountains and hills of Northwest NJ and PA. Take breaks and shoot some great night shots on our cameras, grab some diner food or perhaps 24 hour White Castle, and cruise some more.


I figure it would be fun to enjoy a full night out of pure, 100% driving and cruising on amazing roads. In order to make this happen safely, I would suggest the following if you'd like to attend:


1.) Be sure to bring a well-maintained car with good tires and brakes for the safety of you and others.
2.) Please be well rested....driving dangerously tired won't be safe.
3.) Practice safe and responsible driving practices.
4.) Be punctual and prepared with a full-tank of gas to avoid delays.
5.) Be prepared to have alot of fun.


UPDATE:

Alright guys, I decided to bump the meeting time foward a few hours so that we can get an earlier start, plus hit up some really beautiful spots while theres still daylight.

6PM is the new meeting time. If this doesn't work for anybody, please let me know so that we can work out a way for you to meet up with the rest of us later. Sorry for the short notice, hope to see everyone there!

We can meet off of Exit 4 on Rt. 80 if you guys would like.

From the east heading westbound, you'll take exit 4A then bear left at a little roundabout that point you right to a truck stop/McDonalds. We can meet there since theres tons of parking and its right off Rt. 80.

Same thing if you're coming eastbound on Rt. 80, take exit 4A for Columbia, you'll see the truck stop on your left across the highway on the westbound side. Take a left at the top of the ramp to head towards the truck stop.



Lots of roads to cruise on, Its going to be lots of fun.

A lot of larger tire stores sell used tires, maybe you could find a set for a good price at one locally or on EBay even? I've seen a lot of great deals floating around on EBay and Craigslist.org.

Guys, I will be going to the NHRA (drag racing, drifting & car show) at Englishtown this Saturday! Is anyone else going or lives in the area? If I am not too tired I willing be leaving for the mini-meet on Saturday from the event. I will need directions from there! Also from Englistown, NJ, will I be closer or further away from the location where we are supposed to meet?
