Pike Peaks Celica fastest time :) - 6G Celicas Forums

Hey guys

sorry it could be old news but was just crusing the net and found that a celica 6th gen
hold the hill climb recold on the Pike Peaks hill climb, said to be toughest in the world smile.gif

just can't find any videos that are said to be about

any found anything on this

does the record still hold today?

i would think someone would have beaten that record by now with more technology and more powerfull engines.

This is pretty cool. I probably notice Toyota Pioneers most technologies or styles. Can other people list down what other Toyota Cars, have dominated certain areas. I know the 86, although old is highly respected among drifters, Celica - rally, supra - drag. What real facts do we have?

That supposedly is a well gaurded secret but google 3T-TTE and you will get some rumors that may or may not be true.

I would think that it was the infamous.. 503E.. Toyota's race built 2.1L Turbo engine with 1200HP
Celica; The American version of the Corolla coupes.. Except.. Sleeker and slower.

No idea really. That's just what I've heard. Would be cool to find out on some official Toyota site tho.
