molded supra taillights - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #47594 72 posts Started by boosted95
has anyone tried to mold the celica to accept supra tails? i love the look of the supra, but quite frankly i just cant afford to buy or even maintain a supra. and secondly, what are the dementions of a supra?

could a supra bumper be heavily modified with fiberglass to fit a celica

Yup, a few people have. Try a search on this board and you'll find them. It is quite difficult to get it to look right on the Celica and needs quite a lot of custom fab. work so won't be cheap. The existing taillight recesses have to be changed in shape and depth, the numberplate holder needs to be modified. If you want to get the look right, you also need to modify your bootlid (hatch) and the interior boot trim.

Yes, but it does require heavy modification. It is too wide, so you have to chop a bit out of the middle and rejoin as well as fibreglass the sides to tie in with the Celica rear quarters. Oreo's car also has the Supra rear bumper IIRC.

oh yeah its been done! there are different ways people have done it some of which i dont like anyway...my favorite is oreo
Man i really think if my rear looked like that it would sooooooooo add to a very very sick flow of a curren front end

thats the only picture of 0reo's car i have ever seen. why doesnt he take more pictures for us? did something happen? if i ever did something as beautiful as that i would show many pictures to everyone
im pretty sure it got totalled a while ago... it is to bad cause that is realy the only pic ive seen of his car and its a pretty crappy pic. but that conversion is by far the best imo
man this is totally deja vu. i remember this thread, with someone asking bout the lights, then oreo's pic, then someone saying how they thought it was a supra, then asking for more pics, then someone saying it was totalled.....then i looked at the date and its all recently posted.....scary....
its totalled? so its gone now? forever?!?!??! all we got was one picture?!?!? wat the heck

im pretty sure he never got around to finishing it. the reason it looks good is cause the lights are up higher than most people put them and he molded a supra bumper on there to...by far the best looking conversion and i wish i could have seen it done frown.gif

^ i remember those pics. sucks it got totalled. that was the sexiest supra taillight/rear bumper conversion ever. he also had the uber rare trd front bumper, but luckily it wasn't on the car when it got totalled.

ss-iii splitters and 404 skirts areon. which means i need to update my sig.

Myspace Me
oreo's if it ever got finished was one of the best looking celica's i've ever seen.

He also had the RARE trd front bumper with projectors.

I sure he gets another celica.
have not seen him on in forever....

Maybe on another Celica, Dan. Yours has gone through enough swaps.. lets focus on getting it up and running tongue.gif

yea but i have a feeling supra tails + rear would flow better with curren front ?
itd be like 3 cars in one laugh.gif i think it would be pretty cool if its done right
Maybe, but how much modification needs to be done to the Supra rear end to fit? I am sure it is a whole lot wider than ours. It would need to have a large portion cut from the middle and FG'd back together.

psh FAWK u and your stock width.....widebody FTW

come on now why would i build a sick car and NOT put a widebody on it? thats like....a sin in my book

a good reason is money, or the lack thereof.

If you have the time to develop it, then do so. I noticed the M3 front end is a little too wide for the front, so if you have the time and money the please do. I would like to see it.

widebody RHD curren-supra conversion with lambo doors and engine swap.... thats a good name. biggrin.gif
