ok started up again. Got issues i cant seem to figure out whats the best way to go about this. make panels or maybe just use foam sheets then fiberglass over them and straight to the car.

i dunno.........

i found some how to's online a while back, what they do is make a structure out of wood, like the base and the speaker mount etc. and then drape fleece over the whole shape and staple it down to make the desired form. then resin and glass over the fleece etc.

I started up the project again. Got a whole bunch of acustic foam. The whole car is now laid with acustic foam sheets. Glued to the car. Once that settles im gonna fiberglass it stright to the car not make panels. The only panel i have to make is the rear trunk due to the bolts for the tail lights and trunk lock.

From a sound fan's point of view I wouldn't advise using 2 separate boxes for the subs. Generally speaking each box would have its own pressure inside of it instead of sharing the 2 so now each speaker is firing independently. The problem with that is that the sound waves from the 2 subs hitting at the same time will cause wave collisions and create dead spots where the opposing waves hit eachother. Same principle as a timpani head (if anyone has ever played timpani) hitting on 2 opposite sides of the head at the same time will create a dead sound instead of a clean resonant sound. My suggestion is build something that houses both subs in the same box and whatever you do don't aim the subs at eachother.

Trust me on the separate boxes thing. It'll sound much better if you have 2 subs in the same box.
