sputter problem - 6G Celicas Forums

my car starts to sputters when i hit the gas for a second then goes, it is not the fule pump or injectors, i have new wires, plugs and cap and rotor, and still cant seem to figure out what it is? any one ever have this problem or know what i should check next?

Throttle position sensor would be my bet.

does it sputter from a cold start?, or does it sputter every time you accelerate from a stop?

it sputters when i hit the gas, and when i am even braking like the rpm just kinda fall of for a split second. but when i hit the gas it sputters and then goes, and sometimes sputter again at higher rpm. It may be the TPS a few people said it may be that.
