So bottom line, any turbo kits out there? - 6G Celicas Forums

I know many will say, "make your own kit", but out of curiousity, are there any actually turbo kits made for the 5S-FE on the market?

Burien, but their website is down. The kit is way over priced and unreliable like other say. It doesn't come with an intercooler, what kind of turbo kit doesn't come with an intecooler.

any 3sgte turbo kit can be a 5sfe turbo kit

then to complete it you need 440s and a 2 bar map

and a piggy back or stand alone to tune for that.

burien is the only 5sfTe specific kit. its incomplete, over priced, and missing a lot of things. if the idea of doing your own research and buying your own parts turns you off, then your probably not ready to turbo your car.

like here's an interesting '5sfe' turbo kit

http://www.koracing.net/viewproduct.php?fo...amp;product=214

you need to add a 3sgte manifold, and to tap your oil pan

Then you need to add your fueling
emanage ultimate + 440s + 2bar map sensor

Then your choice of intercooler + water injection (For high boost)

that's it ... the '5sfte demystified'

Sometimes you might be able to find kits on ebay that previous people had on their cars. Not the best way to go, but if your looking for an "almost complete" kit, you might be able to find one on there if you wait around a bit. As with any kit though, your still going to need some of the custom stuff thats required.

ps. i know you dont want to hear it....but imo make your own kit. It will take just as much effort tracking down the parts than it would to try and find an almost complete kit on line. Parts are not that difficult to track down. Start with presure2's post of his turbo...he has everything you'll need to know. I personally couldnt have done it without his info and help.
Those are very cool. Wonder how well they work?
i may have missed it but, has anybody here actually done the burien kit before? just curious.
