so I need to get my valve cover off, but can't figure out how. I took out all the screws and what not, tried moving it with a rubber mallet...but to no avail. can someone tell me how to get it off?!?! photos would be a huge help, as I learn everything visually.

did you pull out your spark plug leads? also, make sure that the cables running over the top are out of the way. Hope this help.

You're probably gonna have to cut the valve cover gasket inbetween the head and the cover with a razor blade. I had to do the same thing. After I had ab half of it cut it came off.
x2 on the cutting the gasket, if that doesnt work then just keep hitting it with the rubber mallet, but hit the corners, it just has a really tight vacuum seal on it.

Yea that sounds like what happened to me I had it all off and didn't have an extra seal...So I just left it on....I still need to go get one and redue the seals.

he has a 7a not a 5s so that wont help him too much, just make sure you have all the bolts undone from the top and then try and hit it. you have to unbolt your cable from your alternator so you can pull the valve cover off.
