Topmix kit - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #48009 24 posts Started by Mangozac
Hi team,

Discussing a full option front lip recently I was directed to Topmix of Hong Kong. They do a lip called the A001 (others refer to it as 'magic lip') which seems pretty much the same as the full option lip.

So I sent them an email and it turns out that they do sell direct to the public, although shipping costs are the killer! But they also do OEM sides so I will be ordering the front lip and sides from them very soon. Total cost is AU$633 (US$524) including shipping (the shipping makes up about 2/5 of that cost).

Here's a pic they sent me:

So I just thought I'd share this as I know a bunch of other people are after the same wink.gif
I'll let you know how it goes...
Aha, Rob from LikwidArt's car - very nice biggrin.gif
Nice maybe I can finally get my side skirts now....lol

hey i emailed them a couple days ago but haven't heard back from them. how long did it take for a reply? i want this lip but just figured that is was impossible to get so gave up and was going to go a diff route. whatever additional info you can get to me would be great. i want it on my car by the end of summer but if i can't get it i will have to go my other route for my exterior. has anyone from the states heard back yet? i just want to know the price and availability to see if it is doable.
thanks guys

I'm still awaiting a reply. It's only been about 24 hours so I'll give them a bit more time before I feel too neglected. Will definitely update though.

Oh yeah I forgot to say that they can be a bit slow to answer emails. My original one I sent to them didn't get replied to for quite a few days but since it has been around 36 hours turnaround...
had one of those lips and still have the skirts on my one..i cut my lip up and put it on my project civic that i have, then took it off and threw it away! Flushing out my own sideskirts but over here those lips are flippin everywhere, nearly every import comes with them!

I've just paid for my Topmix magic lip and side skirts. It cost me about AU$200 for the lip, AU$200 for the pair of sides and $250 for shipping (and I have to pick it up from the nearest port (Brisbane) when it comes in). Should take about 3 weeks to get here. I get the impression that they make the parts as ordered.

Multiply those prices by about 0.8 for US$.

Send them another email and see if you can't get them moving. I'll be sure to post some comments when the parts come in wink.gif
ughh...if u guys want replicas..contact chrisc.....i think he/she sells it for 300 + shipping......but the lips gotta be slash in half due to shipping restrictions in hk.....jus wanna inform u guys about this....
mangozac. did they have to cut yours in half when the sent it? let us know when they arrive. also if i could get it from them it sounds like it would only be about 300 shipped. i know doggy is making some replicas from the lip slick gave him. but i am just looking into all of my options.

They never said anything about having to be cut in half. I don't see why they would have to kindasad.gif
Perhaps because they are sending them by ship they don't have to go with any restrictions.

As I said, I'll post up some info as soon as they arrive.
Ok i just got a reply from them and this is what they said

Thanks

how much is hkd 1200 ?
and to the port? does that mean someone in cali would have to pick it up and then send it on? or how does all that work?

thanks guys for the help.

According to XE.com it's about US$154. The shipping cost is pretty nasty though kindasad.gif

And that's right you need someone to pick it up from a port. I kind of take if for granted that I live close to the ocean and near our state's capital (only an hour's drive to the port). wink.gif
hey thanks for your help. i think that i will just wait til doggy is done with his replicas if i decide to even get one of these at all. cuz i live 14 hrs from the coast so that would probably end up costing me about 800 just for the lip. oh well. i guess i will be going a diff route.

OK big update!

My kit finally arrived today. It's late and after a quick test fit in the dark it seems to fit really well. I've gotta say that the quality is really top notch - pre-primed and ready to paint with no sanding or extra work needed. It even has black mesh already fitted over the small vents in the front. All of the mounting holes in the side skirts are already drilled ready to fit. The front lip even has the little fibreglass mounting brackets moulded on so should just bolt straight on.

Now the bad news: nobody told me that when you get stuff sent by sea you will have to pay more money to get it off the ship at your end. In this case I had to pay AU$415! I nearly died when the shipping company sent me the invoice but had no choice and had to pay it kindasad.gif

So other than the shipping costs I would say that the Topmix kit is really excellent value. Once they know that you are serious with an order their communication was fine wink.gif

I'll take some pics when I do a test fit tomorrow...
does that lip work on a prefaced 94 bumper??
