4AGZE is supercharged so you would still run premium... so why not do a 4AGE silvertop 20v?

get a dsm or a bike if you want to be fast, then keep the celica for its looks, reliability, and economy. to reliably make a good deal of power out of a celica for you to fit your bragging rights needs its going to cost you alot, either at the pump, or doing a swap with a bigger engine, aka a v6 swap. which ever road you choose id advise that you be mature about your decisions, both financially, and also safety for yourself and others, not to mention getting pulled over, getting points and losing your license plus paying out your ass for insurance.

take it step by step, are you starting with the exterior?, your plans look nice and id like to see how they turn out...are you planning on doing this all yourself?

anyway...the only problem i see with your list is the invader rear, and since you have a coupe its not going to bolt right on iirc, just making sure you're aware of that.....doesnt mean its not possible!
edit: also your trd wing wont bolt right on either iirc. i could be wrong tho

yea thx for all this help guyz.i just got back from sac,and i was thinkin,i dont need a fast car all the time,i think ima just do nos,its illegal im pretty sure?But how do they prove you use it?..i will get mods for my 7A-FE and i wil get around 130 hp am i right?+w/e the nos gives,yea i know that the invader wont fit right,ill have to pay the shop extra.Y wont the TRD wing bolt right?And ill do all the performace and interior stuff my self but i cant do the exterior by myself.

The NOS will give you what, 50HP extra for the small amount of time that it's turned on?

And it'll last for 10-20 seconds and then you'll have to go refill it....$$.

Thats a really immature comment bro, its not safe and it could cost you your life or someone elses. If you plan to rely on this car to be a daily driver, I wouldn't recomend Nitrous, that stuff belongs on the track.

Also painting all of the interior parts is a lot more work than it looks. It'll take you a week or more if you're doing it between work [part-time] and school. I had to do it all minus the hatch trim and it took forever.

Also the TRD wing wont fit your car becuase you need to get the Curren TRD wing.

First of all.. good luck on your list.

Second of all you are probably not going to want to get a turbo/supercharged motor in your car if your not going to want to pay the premium gas cost. Although i would love for you to get it.

I think you should look into a 3sge beams(red) with vvt-i seems it can be a good candidate for your engine swap needs and expectancies. It has sufficient power being N/A along with a longer more powerful power band.

Then again this is all just my opinion i mean this is coming from a guy who bought a $2700 2nd gen 3sgte and has yet to put the motor in with no intention to do it any time soon... Although its nice to look at every once in a while

I just read all the other comments leading to the "NOS" part of this thread... I was 15 once too, and i am not going to lie, i was looking for the speed car too. I almost bought it for my can MULTIPLE times. But after i researched it more and more, i just knew that it was not for me (not saying its not for you cause it may very well be).

Long story short...

Nos=$500-$600 (roughly for a kit (dry shot)) (10lb bottle)
excitement and fun while it last...

Blown seals/motor=$$$$$

I mean think of it.. your running 130hp and then at the push of a button BAM your motor gets a blast of almost 1/3 of its original HP. Remember that your car is 13 years of age.. almost as old as you. Its only a matter of time before your motor goes CAPOW with Nitrous.

I just think you need to rethink what you want performance wise.. and when you finally figure out what you will be happy with RESEARCH, RESEARCH, and more RESEARCH! Beat the crap out of your brain untill you know it from beginning to end. Of course there will be some blank spots.. but thats why this site is here..

nos definitely does not belong on a dd. its extremely flammable and the more you drive, the more likely you are to get into an accident. especially for inexperienced 16-year-olds. just get a 4age blacktop. or wait till you can afford a turbo/v6 engine or the high gas prices. but other than that, mods look good.

Why is your goal 20mpg, 150hp?

You can almost make anything (within reason) 20+ mpg. Direct relationship: heavy foot, more speed/acceleration = more you fill 'er up. Fuel economy and power do NOT go hand in hand. You want one, you sacrafice the other.

As for hp why don't you lighten your car. It would be cheaper/easier to do than an engine swap...You could only have 130-140 hp but with a lighter car, it would have the same effect (hp/lb ratio). Thats why street bikes can only have 100hp but be fast as snot on the road. It's because they only weigh 300lbs...

And no, nos probably won't be your answer. If your only getting it to show "your not a rice rocket" then the $3.50 gas prices should be the least of your worries. Nos isn't cheap to fill. Especially just for bragging rights, not to mention engine problems with an unprepped engine...

I mean think of it.. our car is a light weight as it is at i think its 2600lbs (curb) and our car is STILL SLOW!!! lol. So i seriously think unless you want to drive around a metal cart for 10hp extra DONT DO IT! (THIS IS MY OPINION BTW!!) I really do not see the need to gut your car unless you are on the verge of running high 12s low 13s in the 1/4 mile.

No no, I'm not saying it would be the best thing to do, or that he even should do it, but I was just throwing that out there as an option to an engine swap (depending on what he's looking for)...

Also on the NITROUS (not NOS) note, it's recommended that you run Premium gas when using nitrous anyways.

when I was 15 and 16, when I had my permit and was just getting my license, I thought I was a pretty good driver too. Then I had a couple close calls and I realize now that I'm 10x better now than I was then. and I wouldn't claim to be the world's best driver now either! this really doesn't say alot considering I'm only 17 now, but still.

that said. A turbo ST probably still gets just as good if not better gas milage than a stock GT. if premium is like $.30 more than regular. if you think about it if you put 10 gallons in it's only like $3 more. so you go from $35 fill-up to a $38. I dunno about you, but $3 is worth it to me to have all the power from a turbo.

^ i think it would be almost 3000 maybe more for the turbo setup (if you do it right) as for the interior pieces, if you want it to look good, you have to sand them down a lot and apply a few coats of paint in including primer and clear.

so i should buy the turbo brand new or off ebay or another site?.Also all i have to do is install only the turbo or do i have to buy something else?And i can ride the bus to school i guess when i start moding so it would be no problem if the car doesnt run for a while when i do the interior or the turbo.
