Topic #48269 25 posts Started by hurley97
the ARSE (Additional Rear Support Equipment) by RCR/Defgeph

Its a 3 point rear strut bar that works in conjunction with the GT-4 rear bar, and I have to say it is incredible and I love it!! thumbsup.gif
Stiffen your rear, you will not regret it. I will eventually paint the GT-4 bar low-gloss black to match my ARSE biggrin.gif

Nice bar! Lol I'm happy you like it. Purplegt4 will be receiving a RCR 3PR soon.

Can't wait to check it out this weekend.

I will return one day.

Defgeph made it.

So, Def.... are you going to be producing this bar? I spoke to you via PM a while back about it and I am still interested in one...

I'm only making full 3 points, I started making them again about a week ago. This bar above is about a year old.

The real pain for me is shipping these things.
I have one available right now, fits years 97-99. Finished it today, just needs a test fit. I'll be making a new 94-96 next week, I need to pick up some material.

I can start one for you next week, if you are still interested.

Very nice, how much? biggrin.gif
whats the difference between the 94-96, and the 97-99??? I didnt think there was any difference between the cars besides the exterior and motors.

Let me know a price and I can see if I can swing it this paycheck.

I didn't know there is a difference between 94-96 and 97-99... what kind of difference are we talking about?

The 3 point is $100 plus shipping. All shipping is tracked and insured. US only at this time.

I take my time making these, they take about a week or two for one to be finished. I make them in my spare time, by hand. I dont really have to many power tools. Luckly I have a drill press.

I have something in the works for front 3 points as well, also a JSpeed copy.
If you are unfamiliar with JSPEED. Look them up, they are not cheap.

Bolting locations are different between the years.

Please PM me if you would like one made for you.
Thanks,
DEF

id be down for one for the front, i have a coupe so the rear is pretty stiff as is. dont need anything in a hurry but it all looks really nice! im deff interested if you start making front ones to clear the 7a with factory hood thumbsup.gif

you know why they put sheep at the edge of a cliff.... that way they push back!(2:27:32 AM) edit: please f*cking work, f*ck, sh*t, piss(2:28:08 AM) edit: that did the trick
this is the second time in like 2 days that i seen those rear strut bars with the covers that make room for the strut bar on them. is that a gt4 part? do you just order it from the dealer or something? seems like an obscure part to find on ebay.

I'll be interested in one of those Jeff. Now that the arse is stiff I need something better than the neon bar in the front.

I do not make this ARSE bar anymore, I only make full 3 point rears.

I'm unsure of the pricing right now on the front. I'm still waiting to hear from a partner on this matter. I probably wont be selling them, I'll just be making them. Pricing is in his hands.

I think we are about a month or two away from any news on the front bar.

I'll post up once the first piece is fully made & tested.

Thanks guys

DEF

I will return one day.

no problem. i don't even have a rear strut bar so i can't have additional rear support equipment. just thought it was also the new name for the 3-point rears.

no guys, the reason for the 3 point bar is because some of us can't afford a 350 + 3 point bar so the price won't be too high I promise smile.gif
I have to say the difference this bar makes is incredible. She has had the GT-Four rear bar for a while now but with the ARSE it's waaaaay better. The rear seems to "hug" the road now in hard turning.

Jeff, how does your rear 3 point bar compare to the J-Speed rear 3 point bar ? how sturdy or rigid is yours compared to it ? have you had them both side by side ?

what I always do in the back seat of Stef's car, duh...would you expect anything less from me Tina wink.gif

The Jspeed rear is made from aluminum just like the front. My bar is made from steel. My bar is twice as thick as both the GT4 and Jspeed bars.

Aluminum is lighter than Steel, so my bar is heavier than the Jspeed.

There is a simple test you could do on your GT4 rear bars right now.
Grab the bar in the middle. Rock the car back and forth in park. The GT4 bar shows alot of flex.

When you grab the middle of my bar it WILL NOT flex. We can try it this weekend if you want. This is really the only test I can do to it.

I use my own 3 point in the rear, once the fronts are made, I'll swap my Jspeed front for the new fronts coming.

I will return one day.
i want one, that looks like its a great piece, i dont have any strut bar on now, so that 3 point one would be great. PM'ed Defgeph.
