is there any way you can drift a celica 95 gt stock? and if there isent how can you modify the engine so that you can break the wheels

Maybe power sliding but our cars are front wheel drive so its going to be pretty damn hard.

its not about the engine, its about the drivetrain. you'll never get the rear tires to spin in a fwd car. convert to rwd/awd.
ss-iii splitters and 404 skirts areon. which means i need to update my sig.
You own a auto-x machine not a drifter. Buy a awesome set of sticky tires tighten up your suspension, and head to your local auto cross event. You'll totally forget about this "drifting" you speak of.
I will return one day.

Ummmm .... let most of the air out of the rear tires ??? and use the parking brake ???
j/k fwd and drifting are basically mutually exclusive (in terms of proper "drifting" as opposed to just bringing the rear around) .... think about it...

Just go Auto Xing. Theres no way in hell you'd be able to get your rear wheels to keep spining for the drift to continue, unless you want to drop a load of money to customize it where you can. At that point you might as well buy a drift car.

did someone just watch tokyo drift, lol if u want a drifter find a differnet car, celicas if u havent noticed arent the lightest most fragile cars in the world, the only thing i can think of it to pull the parking brake and turn like hell..lol good luck and dont die.
BANNED. for life, you moron.
lol, did anyone else notice that half the cars in tokyo drift were fwd? i wanted to walk out 10mins into that movie...
yea thats funny cuz alot of the cars made exhaust sounds that they dont make in real life either in that movie
so..basic answer..yes you can drift a celica. Not easily but you can. Get a set of sticky tires on the front, some mostly bald tires on the rear, over steer like a mofo and get ready to keep your rpms high and your hand on the e-brake. Essentialy front wheel drive drifting is just oversteering so much that your back end comes loose, and using your e-brake to start your rear end sliding and powering out of the turns using the engines power. Its essentialy doing power over drifts with ur back end completely loose. I wouldnt recomend drifting a fwd car though. you will burn up tires, e-brake shoes, probably snap a few cabels and most likely bend up your rear controll arms.
EDIT:
There is a 6th gen drit video from japan some where on youtube that ive seen b4...you might wanna search it out.

FWD cars don't drift, they power slide. And you'd need a LOT more power than a stock gt and bald tires before it even got fun. Like everyone else is saying...if you want to keep the celica, learn to auto cross. If you want to drift, get a different car.

i tried to drift my celi a few times. it doesn't quite work. plus i really streached my e brake cables out. not a good idea. i find it more fun to haul ass around corners anyway. this car handles amazing stock.. my next plan is coilovers, sway, and strut bars. see what that does

i used to get the back end out on my old celica rather well whilst attempting to drift but it does wreck your hand brake (parking brake) and its not really proper drifting cos you can't get the back end to swing back round in the other direction like a rwd. not as controlled as a rwd i don't think either imo.

guys, please just let this thread die its usless death it deserves.
unless its converted to RWD, your not "drifting" your celica...your just dragging your tailend around.
