Clicking from glovebox area - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #48793 5 posts Started by vsideboy
Driving home today there was some morse code coming from the glovebox area. Sounds like a relay clicking on and off repeatedly quickly.

Have looked in some tech pdf files and all I can find is that it might be the Foglight relay or the Heater relay.

Anyone know if theres anything else it might be from that area (relay wise I mean!) I don't have some little guy doing morse code from the glovebox - as far as I know anyway!

Didn't affect the performance at all.

Cheers

Dan

I had the same click, it was coming from a relay that's related to the a/c components. (The a/c idle VSV might need adjustment or replacement). But it could be a different issue but still on the same page, did you try checking for engine codes?

u have ants having a war in ur engine and they are communicating...Lol does the clicking like change,go fster or slow when u accelerate or slow down?Or if u turn off the A/C or and climate stuff?

BANNED. for life, you moron.
nah, not done either yet.
will see if it does it again today.

and it was a quick click clickclickclickclick clickclick clickclick click

I am sure its gonna be a relay clicking on and off repeatedly, but wasn't sure which it was or what might cause it. Need to get the glovebox out today and see if any are a bit loose. Had alarm fitted recently, the guy could have accidentally knocked one a bit loose I guess.
well i think it might have been some indegestion tablet wrappers in my glovebox. damn i feel like a numpty now!
