quick ? we have 6 1/2's - 6G Celicas Forums

just wonderin what size they were im almost positive we have 4 (6 1/2's) 2 front and 2 back...only problem is is that i have 2 sony explodes 6x9's and 2 JL 5" they look like...neither will fit i dont think and i also have 2 JL crossovers with 2 Kenwood tweeters which i want to put in the little plastic triangular pieces above the door pannel....which reminds me..anyone who has tweeters can you tell me where you put them and pictures would be great too so i can get an idea of what looks best..i just put tweeters in my boys integra but I sunk them into the door pannel next to the door handel...they actually came out nice looking....thanks guys

If you wanna fabricate a little there is plenty of room to put 6x9's in place of the stock 6-1/2's in the back.

Same goes for the front. If you cut an adapter ring you can put the 5's up front. It's just gonna be a ring to make the 6-1/2 hole smaller.

The stock speakers are somewhere around a 6-1/2 or a 6-3/4 some fit really well some don't There is a big flange on the stock speakers to make it fit the opening. It usually isn't too hard to make either work.
Umm dunno bout u guys but my rears were 6.5's and my front were 8's pretty sweet, but not freaking cheap and over here not as easy to find...
The front has a plastic mount which moves the speaker up against the door panel. The hole in the door will fit an 8" the mount is closer to 6-1/2"
