New Car Options - 6G Celicas Forums

the only problem with the G35 is that it is to spendy, otherwise that would be the car she got.
I can't even think about getting rid of my celica. If i were you i'd just take 20k your gonna spend on a new car and put it in the celi. I mean with that money you could have AWD 3s celica. Thats what i would do wink.gif
or maybe w/ that amount of money you could import a real GT-FOUR, and get it legalized.

assuming you're in a state that allows a RHD car

lol the point is to get a new car that i dont have to worry about for a few more years not invest into a 13 year old car. I need something that is me now more so than me 5 years ago.

The car will still be in the family cuz I cant let it go and eventually will get another engine - it just wont be out of my pockets

There is no reason why a used G35 wouldn't be a great, reliable car to have. It's silly to think that because a car is newer, it will last longer than any car older than it.
g35 is over 30,000 dollars. So not going to happen cuz i want a 2 door

There is no attitude, I couldn't care less about what somebody across the country wants to drive. I was simply pointing out that you are ruling out many good options, simply because they werent made within the last year. Just out of curiosity, what is it about the 2008 G35, that eliminates any older model as a choice?

Higher maintenance and care than an NA car, and I hear the clutch is brutal...Brutal clutch + high heels... hmmm....

One o'dem crazy Canadian freaks, eh?
Not only that, but most people who buy an evo, are going to beat the crap out of it, and run it really hard. Same with sti, srt4, etc.

There is no 2008 G35. Its a G37.

There gonna cost about 36,000 for a base model and the things going to be a beast. 330 HP...sleeker design.

Well the reason cars that weren't made within the last two years have been ruled out is because after a car has been deemed "used" and is more than a few years old it reaches its "real market" value. Meaning there is no more it can depreciate unless there is some sort of damage to the vehicle, thus producing a higher intrest rate and requiring a steeper down payment. Newer cars on the other hand come at a lower initial intrest rate because you get a longer lease period to collect that intrest money. So....what she is looking for is something new to 1 or 2 years old (I think) that comes with a lower intrest rate and longer lease terms to lower payments at least a little bit.

So you are saying that if I were to purchase a STI, it wouldn't be because I enjoy the look or overall design of the car but because i wanted to beat the hell out of the engine and redline every shift? I'm not going to say it would never happen, but it's not the reason I personally would buy one.
