hey

so im most likley going to be getting my windows tinted very soon.....but i cant decide on how dark i want everything to be.....

i want it to be dark, but i also want to be able to see out of my windows when its dark.......i think 5% is prolly to dark from what ive heard......im thinking 20% maybe??? all around....but im not exectally sure what 20% looks like in person...and i also dont want to be getting pulled over left and righty, but i want something that will provide a good amount of privacy, and have a good look....

if anybody has pictures of their car tinted or something that may help me id highly appreciate it!

i have 5% on the back 3 and i love it, you can see out but not in at all, ideal if you have amp/sub in the back. had 25% on the front 2 and it was good, could still see in but still dark enough to provide the mystery/privacy.

I used to run 5%in my rear windows of my vehicles while in high school, but it is difficult to see at night and very cave-like during the day. I compromise at 20% now. It's still pretty dark but much better for seeing things at night.

id recommend at least darker than 35 - i have the rear 5 and the fronts 35 thinkin of re-doing the fronts in like 20-15 something darker, can see out of 35 clearly and the rear 5 can see out clearly in the day with detial but at night just highlights cant see in worth anything unless you have lights on inside the car then you just see silhouettes

yea 5% is out of hte question for me.....to many cops....


does i wanna tint all my windows except the windshield....so im kinda looking for that "factory stock tint look" anybody know what tints are applied to cars that come pre-tinted?

otherwise im thinking 20-25% all around....

anybody have experience w/ 20-25? or pics?

Legal here is 35% and cops still pull you over if they feel like messing with a human being. That's why I haven't tinted mine, but I think I should to filter out the sunlight, so my interior stays cooler when using A/C and also it doesn't get damaged too soon from UV rays.

20 all around will look un factory, too dark, 20 is kinda what the rears are for most mini vans & trucks at least the newer ones, i think 35 gives that nice look which i why i went with it in the first place, i just did the rear dark because i prefer it that way

i think you'd be happy with a 20

though for cop reasons since you have a light color car maybe something more the lines of 35 would be less pull-me-over-ish

20% is perfect. Only time I run into trouble is trying to back up, at night, in the rain.

hey man sup... i got i had 5% all the way around but now i have 5% on back 3 and 15% on front 2 and i love it...cant see into it but you can see out of it at night....i get a few better pictures up...dont know if u can see in the ones i have now

i have full 20% and i like it alot. i am considering going a bit lighter on the front 2...because i got some grief from the local fuzz about it...but i got pulled over for speeding and they decided to comment on the tint while they were at it. i've had it that way for a few months and even though i'd been pulled over a few times, it wasn't an issue before.

i would not go any darker, that's for sure. outward visibility is decent...can't really see in, which is what i was going for.

yea 15-20 is a good %... i havnt been pulled over for it and when i was pulled over, cops didnt mention anything

I bought the car with tint installed

But the previous owner told me it was 40%. I think it just perfect for a black/dark car. Not to dark, we have a law against windows tinting so it keeps the cops away.
