K so i wanna paint the inside of my car white
i am a total noob
do u guys take out the parts and then paint it or do u guys just paint it as is??
any step by step instructions?
Gday mate, its really quite easy. Just don't go over the top or it'll look tacky and cheap. Also make sure you use a good quality paint and plenty of clear coat.

All you'll need is

Screwdrivers
380 grit wet n dry sandpaper
2000 grit " " " "
Some plastic primer spraypaint
Ur chosen colour in a good plastic/vinyl spray paint
Same type of clear coat.
Around abouts 6 hours.

Basically remove the bits u wanna do, wet sand them well with the 380 grit, then wet sand them again with the 2000 grit. Allow to dry completely obviously.

Lay down a good even covering of the plasti primer. Then a light coat of ur colour, then another coat, and a third if needed. Then u should atleast lay down 2 coats of clear or more if u like. (Obviously giving them a good amount of time to dry between each coat).
Allow to dry preferably overnight would be the better idea.

Now ud want to carefully pop them all back into place and enjoy!

If there are any imperfections then yes you will want to wetsand 2000 grit in between coats.

how the hell do u take out the bits i wanna do??im like freakin out
its really not hard at all, and you must take out the peices before you paint. READ THE STICKIES!
is there any shop i can take it to ....tongue.gif
im A TOTAL NOOB
i dont even know what like passenger vent is
You can make it look real good with some specialized spray paint made for plastic. Krylon makes paint called Fusion and its about 6 bucks a can.

Take out your pieces, clean them real well with some alcohol and when they are dry apply a few thin coats.

With the krylon Fusion paint, there is no need to sand and its pretty chip resistant. You can do a clear coat if you want, but its not needed.

I did my interior pieces this way and they look like they were factory painted.

dont take it to a shop itd be a waste of money, i just bought 2 cans of nice color spray paint, read the directions on the back made a setup in my garage took me about 3 days after drying and everythign and it came out fine mad smooth, one tip is just wait completyly till its done dryign because if tis nto completly dry youll leave impressions when trying to pop the pieces back in

yeah manny thats the exact kind of paint i used no flaking or dripping if you do it right it came out fresh
