Flew reverse on a curb - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #49626 22 posts Started by mrgrape
k so me and my friend parked at this parking lot and went to go to the beach
when i was going to drive back home
i looked back and there was nothing behind me
so i completely floored it in reverse
and flew up in the air and heard a gnarly ass bump
so me and my friend got out and looked
and we basically flew over a curve which is about the size of about 2 rulers......
im surprised there was nothing broken and i drove back perfectly
but then again im wondering how much i ****ed up my suspension
cuz when im driving now....it feels like my cars about to ****in get in an accident
so you hit a curb that was 2 feet tall?
no 2 ft wide regular height curb
maybe you should stay away from reverse gear for a little while...

leave it in neutral and use your foot if you need to back up.

...just sayin...
ha yeh
nahhh im just gonna stop being so reckless lol
im a stupid ass teenager thats why
where in so cal are you? i might be able to take a looksy at your damage, chances are you bent an arm

yeh im gonna take pic of my car anyways
ill get to it

You could try jacking up your car, take your wheels off, and snap some pics of your suspension?

i need to see pics of the suspension arms and end links
i dont even know how to jack up my car
i know im pathetic
thats why im taking auto tech this year
buy a repair manual but theres 6 spots you can jack your car
I like this story...

Your probably alright if the car is driving fine and not making any wierd noises.
LoL I think you need to stop putting your car in reverse, period.

Nice rims btw.

Autozone or something along those lines. I got a Chilton's manual. There's another brand but I can't remember. You should have a jack in your trunk: look towards the right when your hatch is open, there's a little panel you can unscrew a latch and open it up. In there should be the actual lift for your car, and over the spare/under your carpet should be the bars to assist you in jacking your car up!

You've definitely come to the right place if you're looking for info! Feel free to ask anything! Otherwise, you'll never learn!

I ordered a haynes(spellcheck?) manual for 10 bucks on amazon.com

and PLEASE put on your emergency brake BEFORE jacking your car up, dont get squashed dead.
And use jack stands. >>Under the frame not the floor of the car.>>

umm why would you floor you car in reverse to begin with?

also- why do you think it's going to get into an accident do you hear noises or is the car riding differently?

take it easy with the driving crazy stuff...
