Sorry Dan, no can do brotha. Too poor and broke from my own car. wink.gif

I would love to see a responsible and caring owner from the EC get this car though. This way I can see it in person at meets and we can treat it right.

Well, to clear things up, I've thought long and hard about this, and I think I am going to sell the car. I did what I really wanted to do; I built a really nice Celica. It's one of a kind, and I couldn't be happier with the way it turned out.

That said, I think it's time for me to move on. For one, I rarely drive it. In the last two years, I've put maybe 7-8,000 miles on the car. I keep it garaged at home most of the time and don't drive it much at all, even though it's a blast to drive.

Second, I graduated and I'm moving away. I'm sure I won't have a garage where I'm going (at least at first), and this car really deserves a garage and a nice place to wash it and keep it clean.

Third, I'm just plain tired of building/having the same car. I've had the car for five years and ten months. And I want something new. Yesterday I sold my G20, and with that money and the money I'd make selling the Celica, I could start a new project.

Yes, I want a Del Sol. I've actually got my eyes on a H2B Del Sol. I also kind of want an EF Civic. And I kind of want a '99+ G20t. I'm not sure what I'll end up getting, but I know that I want something different.

To be honest with you guys, I'm kind of growing tired of building cars. My real passion is developing websites and web applications, and if I do sell my car, I will keep on running 6GC just like I do now. So there are no worries there. My passion for the Celica has really been gone for quite some time...but lately I've been more passionate about developing 6GC.

So yeah, I think I'm going to sell the Celica. From a car standpoint, it's time to move on. But don't worry, I'll still be here posting on 6GC, hitting up 6GC meets, further developing the site, etc. And who knows...if the right opportunity presents itself, maybe I'll build myself another sixth gen. sometime.

Damn, if I wouldn't have just moved overseas, I'd travel from the East Cost and would have given you cash to get that Celica. Good luck on the sell! What an amazing car!!

1998 Toyota Celica GT2007 Subaru Impreza WRX STi2007 Toyota Tacoma 4x41974 Datsun 260Z1997 Subaru Legacy L WagonKind of missin' my Celica GT! Hit me up if you're ever in my area. I'm always down for a meet.
cant believe you want to sell it, its worth more than 4k, a good deal more

I think Bigfoot is blurry, that's the problem. It's not the photographer's fault. Bigfoot is blurry. And that's extra scary to me, because there's a large, out-of-focus monster roaming the countryside.

I am sad to see it leave your hands, Coomer. But I can totally understand the feeling. Us restless car tuners...we can never stop. wink.gif I doubt you're interested, but I've got a CRX with a B16 swap plus some cash I'd probably trade. I like the CRX way more than the Del Sol. The del sol is a chicks crx. biggrin.gif I'm also trying to get Emily(you remember her, my friend who came w/ me to the meet) to buy it. We'll see if she succumbs to the yellow beauty. wink.gif

Thanks for the offer, but I don't think a '99 Corolla is the right car for me. wink.gif

The CRX sounds intriguing, but I dunno...I've kinda got my mind set on a Del Sol. wink.gif That would be cool if Emily bought the car, but the way things are looking now, I think I'm going to sell the car this weekend to a local 6GC member. smile.gif I'll keep everyone posted though.

New Toyota project coming soon...
selling the yelli celi? and for only 4k?! this thread makes me wanna cry. that car is one of a kind and is worth a lot more than just 4k. sigh... well good luck with the sale (not). hope it goes to a great owner from this site. if not, sell it for double some place else.

ss-iii splitters and 404 skirts areon. which means i need to update my sig.
its totally kool. man...if the sale doesn't go through, i may very well be interested! but WA is a bit of a drive....damn update me!
I'll buy it off ya if the sale doesn't go through twice I'll take it off your hands. Let me know smile.gif

4k is definately too low for your car Coomer. If the sale doesn't go through and your looking for a car you can fix up a little and work on, i'd trade you my 96 convertible. but it sounds like your more looking in the direction of a Honda.

I think that we should start a fund between the EC 6GC members and buy it as a group. It will then be kept as a trailer queen and be the official 6GC.net pace car when we have meets. wink.gif

I REALLY like this idea. Slap a simple, clean, "Offical 6gc.net Pace Car" on the side...and were ready to roll out EC6gc style.

Yep, I'm selling it. And I found out last night that it's actually still got a clean title. I've worked out a deal with someone and will be selling it tomorrow afternoon.

New Toyota project coming soon...
if its got a clean title then you can jack up the price right? so who's the lucky guy?
