Ok guys I will try to get a sound clip of my car but I don't even know if you guys would be able to hear it. When I drive my car and until around 2k RPM my car makes a kind of cat like purring sound. I know that sounds completely off the wall but thats the closest thing I can compare it to. It does it all the time and really doesn't go away until I get above something like 2500RPM. Any help on this would be great. I have noticed that when I start my car in the mornings it seems like there is more smoke than usual (I know my valve seals cause this but it seems like there is more smoke than usual coming out.)

As far as the smoke goes, you could be right. What's your mileage? The smoke could be a number of things.

Whoa, well you're getting up there. Not to say the engine is going to blow, but she just needs her maintance. Have you had your timing belt and water pump done yet? Fuild's flushed? Front end check?

My timing belt and water pump were done no more than 6 months ago. I keep the oil changed every 3k miles, and I just had my radiator flushed right before the timing belt and water pump.

Do you still have the stock 5SFE?
Are you in Ma, and if so where?

At this point I need to see/ at least hear the engine. I've got a lot of ideas as to what it could be, but I don't wanna give you a stroke. Odds are its just a maintance issue.

my car has 191,000 miles on it ad it throws smoke only when i turn it on in the mornings.....could this be because of bad fluids that I have in the car??
