Hi guys,
After reading the previous posts on adjusting the headlights i notice mine wasn't high enough, so today i went out and adjust it to make it higher and more to the side. The right hand side headlights turned out great.

As i start twisting the left headlights it went up slowly, all of a sudden it just drop down all the way to the bottom even worst than it started. After that, which ever way i twisted the screw won't work, it won't go up or down . I know you can twist it to a point where it just stops, i didn't know it just stuffed the whole thing up.

you'll need to remove it from the car probably mate, they have a little ball and socket type thing inside and also those 2 screw pieces. My Ball had come out of the socket (oo-er!) and I could only get it back in by taking the unit off the car and getting mad with it, winding it all the way in then all the way out and pulling it and getting more mad with it. finally it went in although i now need to readjust it as its pointing up in the air somewhere i think.

I don't think the screw bits should pop out of the internals though as mine kept coming to a stop.

I would suggest that your ball and socket have come apart so you have maybe tried to over compensate with the screw bits. take it off the car and remove the bulb and the bulb holder and whatever else will come off and you should be able to see inside if anything has come loose. stick your finger inside and try to pull the reflector back towards the screw bit, then wind them both all the way towards the back of the unit and try to prise the ball and sockets back together then wind it out slowly and opefully you'll be ok.

thanks for that, although i was hoping for another alternative. Taking the head light out require taking the front bumper bar off and i have a body kit so it is a fairly big job. If it is the last resort i will try what you said.

Unless someone else had experienced it maybe could share their stories with me

Sorry to threadjack, but I didn't want to make a thread with a similar title.

The 2 screws on the rear side of the housing are to adjust up and down, and left and right, correct? I did the lhd conversion on my projectors and was trying to aim them, but can only adjust the up/down for some reason. When I turn the other screw nothing seems to move (right/left).

The only other way you can try is to do it how I said but with it still on the car. It will be more difficult as its hard to get to, but I really don't see any other alternative mate. I do know how much of a pain the bumper is to remove but it might be the only way.

One of your screws might have come out of the holder too, remove the bulb and holder and stuff, stick your finger inside and try to pull the reflector towards the back of the unit while turning the adjuster screw. It might slot back into the thread on the reflector then and allow you to adjust it.

I am sure that both my screws just cane to a stop and wouldn't turn anymore once I got them as far as they will go in both directions, unfortunate if they have gone too far and popped out of the reflector.
