Well, as i have a pc in my room (which can ony be described as palacial) I thought i'd keep you up to date on happenings in the craziest place on Earth.
Day 1:
The 12 hour flight was a killer, the plane was stupidly hot, then stupidly cold. Managed to get a couple of hours sleep between watching Blades of Glory and Extras.
Arrived at Hong Kong airport to be greeted by about 500 screaming girs with signs. I was disappointed to learn they weren't waiting for me but for some pop star to arrive.
We then left the air conditioned airport to be greeted by a wall of heat that took me by surprise. The combination of heat and humidity here is a sharp contrast to rainy old England. Outside the terminal saw my first Celica, a VERY nice red GT-4 with TRD wing. Again i was disappointed to discover that it wasn't waiting to pick me up so i piled into some people carrier thing behind it.
The hotel is amazing, although it was a little odd to see the player piano in the reception playing "Santa Claus is coming to town"
Apparently the 3rd floor contains 300 girls, many of which i've seen milling around the place. Nice
Then our hosts took us out for a meal where we were fed a multitude of weird slimy things from the sea, and i eat my first sea snail which easn't THAT bad i suppose. Some gorgeous prawns though yum
Then we went out for a few beers, watched some hot singing Phillipino twins, got wasted with the hosts, who then drove us back to the hotel, not sure what the drink drive limit is here but it seems pretty high!
The city i'm in is called Chang Ping, which stretches as far as i can see in any direction looking from my 28th floor hotel room. Crazy place, driving is scary, lots of beeping, there are workshops everywhere knocking out anything from DVD's to Huge rolls of Steel. Funny to watch.
Can't wait to go to Hong Kong, it looked amazing as i drove through! Hopefully i'll get chance to meet up with Vincent Doggy, so he can show me the sights
Well i'm off to a health club for 5 hours of various massages (nothing dodgy!) which costs the princely sum of 5 quid
I've rambled on enough now. Don't worry i won't do this every day
