im wanting to get a injen short ram intake for my celi and i was wondering if it will work for the st model? and if there is any modification needed. also has anyone ever used hopupracing.com before they have the intake for $188.00 free shipping with free heat sheild so im wondering if its worth a short to order from them
intake question - 6G Celicas Forums
i paid 150 new for mine but that was with cash...pluses are quick response and carb legal..minuses are short ram and warm-hot air.
i have a Injen CAI thought i bought of NOPI.com its for the GT but it fits on my 97 ST it also came with an intake but i opted to leave it off, i just figured its more air from all sides but thats just me, i didnt need any modification theres just 2 tubes that you dont need to connect anything to ones for the vaccum hose i think and the other one i forgot the only one you need is the stock gromet from the airbox and the air sensor theres a hole for those
i made a SRI for 30 bucks, only thing i dont have is the heat shield. if you think name brand will improve your performance, go for it! not saying it doesnt though. your choice

im just looking for something to spiff up my engine bay a little and my stock airbox is ugly and i need a new filter anyways actually a full tune up but thx for the help

i didn't know there was a cai for our cars...to my knowledge there's only sri...
if you live in cali, where laws are now really strict, go ahead and get the injen sri if not then go on ebay and get a cheap one...it really don't make much difference on name brand and how much money you spend on an intake...
