well heres the thing, if it breaks and you dont have warranty you are going to pay lots of money to fix it, and i do mean LOTS! I have freinds that owned vw's and if your ready to put lots of money down to fix it, then go ahead, but keep it in mind. If it was a new VW id get it, I am trying to get 25k to buy the new rabbit.... and keep my celica and 4runner, so 3 cars ^^
jettas are chick cars, ask dan about it

Jetta's have the potential to look nice... but.... so does the celica. My Girlfriend has one and that thing is constantly having issues, and her warranty is up! man is that expensive! Hers is a 1.8T and to tell you the truth... its OK power, but the thing is way too heavy. Believe me, by the time you spend the extra money for a jetta, put some $ into upgrades and then some $$$$$$$ into repairs... you coulda had yourself a 3sgte in your celica which hauls way more ass! and then some money left over for some goddies. Also, random parts you need to replace are Waaaay cheaper. Stick with the CELICA!

yea vdubs are a pain in the ass to work on too....i work in a body shop and i try to stay as far away from them as possiable when they come in the shop...but if it was mine and somethin happend id prolly do the work myself which will save me a little biut of $$....im just a fan of the 1.8's and if not now then very soon i will own one

Dan who???

thats the least...if he ends up having a small issue, it can cost LOT of money. engine costs 4k max with replacing it all, the fixes cost 5k for something simple, the dealers take LOT of money per hr
