My friend got in a head on accident and it was his fault, but his liscense didnt get taken away. I think it all depends on what state you live in im not sure tho.
EDIT: Also, after the accident (which totalled his car and the other peoples car) he got a ticket for 80 in a 55. Then he got in an accident in his second car (not as bad but it still messed up his car pretty bad) and then after that accident he got a ticket for 74 in a 55...... and he still has his liscence. So maybe hes just lucky or the court hasnt got to him yet lol.

i think if they wanted to take your license they would've done it on the spot 'cause when I got pulled by a pig he told me that he'll let me go because he is off in 5 minutes and said if it was a jacked up cop he would have taken my license for having alcohol on the passenger side of my car
sounds like the other party is trying to sue you

Hmmm, I'm pretty sure that you don't go to juvinile court for traffic violations or accident related things. But when you get tickets and stuff, it's pretty standard to go to court.
Yeah, I would try to find out what exactly you're going to court for. You should only be going to handle a traffic violation or a lawsuit. Everything else with the wreck should be handled by insurance. You might want to get a good cheap lawyer to get you out of your citations. I paid a hundred bucks for a lawyer who got a ticket erased for me. Ended up costing me about the same as paying the citation, but saved me points off my license so I could keep it.
The court is not court at all, they put a date and that is by when you have to show up to pay your ticket by! Juvy court is the same office, just you have to show up with a parent. The court date is just your due date. And you end up going to a court clerk, not in front of a judge at all, unless you want to, which you request on that first date. But you wont want to really, you have nothing to contest.
ps. the reason your being sent to court is because it was a chargable accident, which means it was result of you breaking the law and therefore you were cited! so you have to go to court for the citation, not the accident. If its your first ticket you could go to traffic school which means you will only get one point on your record for the accident, otherwise you will get 2 total, one for ticket and one for accident.

yeh, all you do is pay the ticket, or pay the ticket and request traffic school if you dont want the point on your record! which can increase insurance alot, especially sense you have 1 point for the accident, and you drive a red, convertable!
I have had 2 speeding tickets, and an accident, and just general knowledge... People tell me I know alot of stuff but I dont know where I get it from...
The insurance will deal with everything for the accident.

ALDEN (scooby doo up there) started talking crap bout me cause I peeled out just a little! It was in a newly paved parking lot, smooth as a baby's A SS... ehh I mighta peeled out a little more then that, and weaved through some traffic, took some turns quick, but everyone else was doing it too!! including not so innocent scooby!! I did on that day get my car to start sliding sideways in a target parking lot! W00t! (yes I am proud of myself) it freaked everyone out that was walking towards the store, even though I was no where near them! everyone turned around to look what the hell was happeneing.
ps anyone else have any back end slide?
