I need a uncracked Exhaust manifold with an o2 sensor hole drilled....theres new ones on ebay for 85 bucks, but im wondering maybe someone has a used one that i can grab off them.... I need it for a 94' Celica ST 7aFe engine, no modifications or anything

cuz the seller doesn't know if u swapped ur engine or anything like that, and u dont have any info in ur profile. someone might try to sell u an EM from a 3sgte or a 5sfe, etc.

btw, u can get an o2 bung hole bored into ur EM at ur local auto shop for in the area of 20-40 bucks.

yea, but on ebay the non o2 ones cost 40 ....+ boring which will be 40 = 80...for 80 i can buy one already premade

I went in there, before I was turbo, I wanted to add another bung to my stock exhaust manifold so I could tune my car NA using my wideband and AFC Neo to squeeze some horsepower out of it. but when I went in there, they told me they couldn't weld a steel bung to a cast iron manifold. then I went to the other muffler shop in town and they said it could only be done with a tig welder, which they didn't have (and I assume most exhaust shops only have mig)

so, what I'm trying to say is, no, you can't just have a bung welded in. However, if your exhaust manifold is cracked in the top section, you only need to buy that and you can re-use your stock primary cat, which is where the second O2 bung is located if yours is a cali-spec (which I assume since you're saying it has two O2 sensors but it's a 94; in 96-99 both the california and federal ones had two cats and two o2 sensors, but 94-95 only the california ones did) Also, I think 96-99 STs had their second o2 sensor down the exhaust stream after the second cat.

what I'm saying is. the exhaust manifold can be taken apart into two pieces. the part that connects to the enine, and then there is a catalytic converter for the bottom part. if only your top part is cracked, then you only need to replace that. the 2nd O2 sensor plugs into the bottom part. why don't you pull off the heat sheild covering the top part and see if you can see any visible cracks? it's only like 6-7 12mm bolts

if you can't see any, pull the whole thing off. you'll need to disconnect the exhaust (3 bolts, use WD-40 or PB blaster on these and let it soak for a couple minutes, because they will be kinda rusted). then you just unbolt it from the engine and there might be one or two brackets on it too (there was on mine, but I have a 5sfe). pull the whole thing out, see if you see any cracks. if you do, look in the phone book for a blacksmith, they should be able to weld the cracks up. otherwise, ask an exhaust shop, they might be able to weld a crack up, just not weld a steel bung onto a cast iron manifold.
