get ur self a hotknife..like the one you use for wood working and crafts, not just a knife and a lighter...cut a section above the amber peice out of the actuall taillight plastic its self, unscrew the little screw attached to the amber peice, when thats all done, re-seal the plastic with the hot knife and then maybe use some gasket maker over top to make sure you got a good seal.
