so when i press my clutch in theres a squeaky sound that sounds like its coming from the master cylinder. I assume that means its going out and needs to be replaced... right????
clutch master cylinder squeaking??? - 6G Celicas Forums
Not necessarily.
It could be something on the pedal/spring/bracket assy, or it could be the shaft seal.
Most likely it's not going bad, just going to annoy you until you fix it.

I've had a sqeaky shaft seal on my car for a few years now, no biggie.
Its only noticable on my car when you first push in the clutch all the way on initial startup, otherwise while driving you can't hear it. I've read of quite a few 6th gen owners on here experiencing the same thing, nothing too serious.

I too have been experiencing the squeaky clutch, mine has been like this for about 8 months and doesnt seem to matter. It does get annoying though. I had my friend stand outside of the car while I pushed it in, he says that its pretty loud from the outside. Doesnt seem to bother me too much though, if its not broken dont fix it
it is louder from the outside but since my car is so loud its barely noticeable so no biggie i guess. haha
thanks for the support
