k so for a while ive been wanting to smoke my taillights
during my trip to japan i bought a smoke spray for about $10
i think the can says u dont have to remove the taillights
i think it says just cover the car and spray the tailights....
is this possible?? or do i have to do the whole removal thing?

its easier if you just remove the 3 nuts & harness that hold the tailight to the car, that way you dont have to tape off your car n leave a little bit of residue, plus you can then store them wherever to dry

x2. Its so easy to take out your tail lights. I'd rather spend the 5-10 taking off the tail lights instead of taping off your car. Overspray would suck to get on your car.

im gonna tape off extra and spray tomorrow!

inside the boot there are 3 round bits with pictures of a light on them (3 each side) you simply pull these off and then the nuts are inside there. You'll need a 10mm socket to remove them.

then you simply need to unclip the bulbs and harness from the back of the light and thats it.

trust me mate, it takes a max of 5 minutes to remove both lights. alot easier than masking it up.

5-10 to take off? i took mine off and changes all my bulbs to LED (autozone) in 6 min on both sides!
back on topic, take em off and spray em. tons easier

so basically i went on the cans website
and i bought a wrong smoke
i bought something called elegance color which i was supposed to put on the clear part......
****k and i already sprayed all over it....
what should i do now?

You can take off the spray with some paint thinner...I recently did mine and had to take it back off because I was pulled over 3 times for the same thing...I used some stuff called VHT Night Shades, picked it up on ebay for about 20 bucks total after shipping. Worked great and I loved the look but I cant afford to keep getting pulled over, especially when the cop can bust me for so many different other things, not worth the risk...

you dont have to do them so dark, just give it a bit of tint and then the cops cant do anything it still looks sweet and then you can still have you stock tails looking good.
