Take off the plastic piece from the driver’s side of the hatch (make sure to unplug the small light on that panel). You don’t have to take it all the way off, once you undo enough of the clips/bolts holding it in you can bend it back enough to do what you need to do. That will expose the antenna assembly. There are a few screws that need to be undone, as well as unplugging the harness from the motor. I did this a long time ago so I don’t remember what you need to do to bring the mast through the hole in the panel but it should be pretty self explanatory. Hope this helps.
bump, can i use an aftermarket ebay antenna?
you CAN use one but its gonna be hard to fit most likely, i dont know because my antenna broke at a car wash too a long time ago and i never bothered fixing it (cds ftw)

S2K atenna FTW! Just make sure it's done correctly. theres a how-to on this site, not too hard at all to do.

Also, there's a how to on making a switch to be able to turn the power antenna off and on, so when you're listening to a CD the antenna doesn't go up. I did it, and its really easy, and worth it.

Usually an aftermarket headunit should already have antenna up/down switch pre programmed. My ant only goes up when I select "tuner" for my music source. On cd or aux the ant goes/stays down.

Wait our Celica's come with power antenna's or what? Mines isn't so I barely have it up ( iPod-ready deck FTW!)

I have a '94 ST. I dont think it's power, but it would b nice to know. It's also cool looking smile.gif
