Got about $800 to spare for new part... - 6G Celicas Forums

so basically all i have on my car is an injen short ram
which was a about 250
now ive got about $800 to spend on some new parts
what should i get??

i'll say suspension mods. sus tech sway bars, strut braces and coilovers.

If you want to lower your car and keep stock-ish ride quality, buy a set of tein s-techs and KYB GR-2 shocks and struts. Springs will run you ~150 and shocks/struts are ~200.

Suspension tech sway bars are also a great addition, those are ~310

so we're up to 660... use the 140 left and PM Defgeph and get one of his 3 point rear strut bars. That should leave you with 40 bucks to put into your gas tank to enjoy the curves!

250 for a injen? i can get it new for 150, if you want to lower your ride, im for hire, $50 to lower .

with that small ammount i would say small things like:

sway bars
springs and shocks
engine poly mounts
stage1 or 2 clutch
short shifter or atleast solid shifter blocks
ceramic brake pads all around
a custom 2.25" exhaust (if your not planning for boost. if u are 2.5")
oh and braided SS brake and clutch lines


something along those lines would make driving your car so much more enjoyable. however you wont be able to do all of these probably not even 50% with just 800$ and all the work would have to be done yourself!

does the SP exhaust actually add any "HP" or anything?....or is that jsut a myth?

its just like any exhaust, on a normal car it can add some HP, on the Celica, its for sound and looks. Most 6GC guys can't squeeze 5hp from intake and exhaust.
