im looking to get a external wastegate in the future and i am wondering what would be the best sized wategate to use on a 3sgte with the ct26 turbo?? I was looking at a 38mm wastegate would that work fine?

because it can never hurt to have better. And this isnt for now in the future.

the problem is... that the ct26 already has an internal gate. so its going to be a little tricky to convert it over to an external one. you might as well wait until decided that you want to upgrade the turbo to do something like that.

gotcha. ok thanks for the info scratch that idea.
I think if your having boost spikes and plan to keep the stock turbo your best bet is to bore out the stock internal WG ports. if it aint broke dont fix it.
Im running a Tial 38mm. absolutely no boost spikes, once it hits 14.5psi it stays there till redline.
