Did a quick search, but couldnt find the answer I'm looking for. Sorry if I missed it.

I'm looking at replacing my alt, but dont know which one I should be looking for. Car is a 98 chassis with a jdm 93 mr2 engine.

I know the mr2 mounting brackets are different from the 5sfe's, but is the actual part different?


When I call the shop should I be asking for an alt for a 98 celica (5sfe motor) or for a 93 mr2?

best bet would be to ask for a 93 mr2 2.0 lt, to be safe. but i bet there the same. someone correct me if i'm wrong.
