try to get coloured bulb, i tried many diff leds including refractors, SMT..etc..etc. LEDs simply dont spread light like bulbs do and therefore you will get brighter areas and dimmer areas, annoying really.

I hear Polarg blubs are the best. I personaly use 3 Matrix LED's. Looks cool and spreads evenly, well for me. I hear some don't, people here haven't gotten the same results. I'm gonna post up some pics on my profile thursday night of them.
I'm also going to try the hyper white Polarg bulbs instead of LED, they keep burning out on me. And please, don't forget to grind of the texture on the backside of your dials, so the light passes through better. Otherwise, you will also keep a faint green/yellow color.
what did you use to grind off the texture of the backside of the dials with? is it hard to do? any steps i should take? =D
just get them from ebay
look at this web site this is what i found best when selecting the bulbs.
http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showto...;hl=gauge+light
personally i found that the Polarg bulbs were a pretty light blue (bit lighter than in celicazr picture) and that they spread the light pretty good but not as good as stock. the petrol needle didnt have much light going to it, but overall im satisfied.
the LED's that wannabegt4 has im going to try as i want a darker blue- now that im used to the Polarg bulbs they kind of look more white than blue. it seems like a safe buy to get the LED's as they have 5LED's in each bulb, they are all angled differently to help spread the light evenly and they are a direct replacement. but im not sure if they last as long as bulbs...
this is what i am going to buy

I've got the 3 5LED's in my cluster and it is beautiful! I would recommend it to anyone. I think it cost me 10.99 shipped for 4 LED's. They are bright (brighter than what could ever be shown on here) and spread the light evenly. Let me dig up a pic...

95celicast what was the exact name of the bulbs that you brought?

It's actually very simple. You DON'T want to take the needles off for starters. Just bend the face up peace by piece so you can reach it and use fine grinding paper or some multi-purpose electric tool with a grinder on it. Keep the unit against the light so you can see it shining through the face numbers as you remove the texture on the backside of it. Peace of cake and the results are awesome!

I am yet to find the LEDs that don't burn out within the month. Ordered some Hyper white Polarg's from eBay yesterday.

Redline08 ive got those polarg bulbs at the moment, they will work fine
Get 3 type 194 Led's. I personally think The Matrix LED's are the best. Spread light pretty evenly. Mines look exactly like 95CelicaST. That picture doesn't do it enough justice.

Get the insurance, trust me. It's the same as putting bulbs. You'll see.
Anyone know where I can get a good cluster gauge for under 80 bucks?

I used the "Super Refractors" from velocity LEDs and I've had two of them burn out on me in the past two years. I'll have to try some from the same seller 95CelicaST got his from.

Hyper white Polarg's from eBay suck ass! That's not white like you get from LEDs at all. It's just not the xenon white i want. Can't detect any blue tint in it either. I'm gonna put the LED's back in.
I put my bulbs in at the beginning of June, and they're still bright and going strong.
