Yeah, I noticed that my key didn't work in the trunk and glovebox, then I tried the spare key that hadn't been worn down as much, and it worked. I guess after using the key in the door and ignition for several years, both the key and the locks get worn down, but the seldom used locks such as the trunk and glovebox remain fresh and so after a while, the eroded key won't work. See if you can find a spare key and make a copy of it, or even make a copy of the old key, I did and now I can open all of my locks.

also what is the Toyota T blank key part number?

the reason the key doesn't work for the trunk or glovebox is probably cuz it's the valet key. to get a new key just go to a toyota dealership with your VIN and they can cut you a new key without a problem. when i got a new key they didn't give me one with the toyota emblem on it but they also didn't charge me at all for the key.

Went to the dealer to get a new key...dealer said 6 dollars...but came back and did it for FREE so that as cool, trunk lock doesnt work, but its ok i think its stuck...
