I can't seem to get the "Light Bulb" bypass circit to work properly. My car is in low boost mode code 54. I have the wiring diagram for tricking the ecu, but Mine doesn't seem to be working corectly. It originally worked bulb stayed light for a while and would shut off untile the gas was applied. Now the check engine light comes right on??? Also do these cars normally run very hot? this is my first turbo car and it sems extremely hot but the temp guage is in the middle.

The car hits fuel cut or is in low boost mode how do I correct this issue? Spits and sputters arround 4500-5000
Also does anyone know if there are any toyota models with the same speed sensor? my speedo doesn't seem to be working. Lance

Can you get above 4500-5000 RPM? If not you probably have the wrong igniter.

The E153 with an electronic speed sensor should work fine. You may just have it wired wrong.

Project ST204.5 99.88946% complete...
Do you also have the intercooler level sensor wires shorted? Having a non-working level sensor will cause the code 54 right away, I believe. (if you have no AWIC, that connector should be shorted)

So it was working with the light bulb trick and then stopped? Loose wire, or did the bulb burn out?

By running hot, do you mean the water temp or EGT's? Generally speaking, a boosted motor generates more heat then a NA. I bought the Koyo racing radiator and haven't had any problems with water temps.

Sensor is gone wires are connected together like a jumper at the plug. Thanks Lance

It was working in the garage but i have finally been driving her. The light would come on and function normally before, it would go off until the gas was applied and then re-light. now it won't even light up. I am in the process of pulling it all out again and starting fresh one more time. My stock temp gage is reading that the water temp is normal right in the middle...I just wanted to know if these cars run hot? seems to be very hot under the hood. Also do you have a part # for the bosch relay you are using and is there wiring involved to get the speedo to work? All other factory guages work. I'm thinking it is a broken speed sensor. I can drive her to you know if that would help speed things up...and you are free I still owe you dinner or some drinks. I really want to see how hard she pulls under full bost, It's going to be wicked fast!! Thanks Guys Lance
