i have a 97 escort and want to do an engine swap. i was looking at a rebuilt 6 cylinder ford probe GT engine or a 4 cylinder probe engine. if these options won't work, what will? and how hard/easy will it be?
p.s. this is not kyel, this is his friend

Custom Turbo baby. Or no2.
I feel so sorry for you (the owner of the Ford). *cries*
Just save money and get NOS, the motor will probably only go till 80,000 anyways.
i am awesome
the probe turbo engine isnt all that bad.

What you want is a bpt, its a straight forward swap for your car, people do it all the time with the 4cyl mazda mx-3. I have a v6 mx-3 and I was considering the klze swap and still would be if I was going to keep my car.
By the way the kl-ze only has 200bhp, and thats all things being equal, so exhaust and everything else should be the same as the jspec car. Most people get around 170whp out of it.
Dont bother with a v6 just get a turbo 4cyl, and i wouldnt recommend turboing a ford escort stock engine, those things can barely hold up stock.
