I was thinking about engines swaps for the Celica, and the idea of the Camry V6 came into mind. I mean, they had a 5S-FE, same motor as the Celica, and the 1MZ-FE, which is a V6 motor that was also in the first gen Solaras. Now, shouldn't this motor almost be a very simple drop into the Celica? The transmissions are also the same if I remember correctly. Has anyone ever attempted this or have more info?

Call me a traitor! See if I care. ;)
I would think it'd be the same thing, and the swap should be easy. Hopefully he puts in his input.

The Mr2 people are swapping it into there MK1's like no tomorrow. I don't C Y its harder for us considering that our bays are bigger than theirs. yes it has been done.
Will I do this in the future? Yes I would because its cheaper to get a V6 with an old 3sge tranny vs buying a 3sgte. (Hmm 3sge Tranny just next door) I think you can use the motor mounts off of a
Camry V6.
there is a list.......just look in the stickys
