Hey just wondering is it possible to supercharge the beams engine on stock internals. and if so how much can it handle. Also would it be worth swaping in the beams vs 3sgte

just wondering cuz the beams comes 210 stock and the 2nd gen 3sgte is the same power

why not ????.... for altezza BEAMS Black-Top (stock compression 11:1) ...Blitz have supercharger kits #10159 #101560

I asked Blitz about possibility put SC kit from Alteza IS2000 to RedTop, answer :

"the IS200 supercharger kit 10159 or 101560 is totally
different to the Celica 2ZZGE 10126 kit.
I'm afraid Blitz have never tried a supercharger kit onto the red top
engine, so we would not be able to recommend it to you...."

I know two cars with BEAMS RedTop about ~195 whp

Sorry it took so long to respond. Thanks for the info. what about the vortec style superchargers that jackson makes? I heard they are rated for like 22 psi or something crazy.

I think Blitz missed the point, saying its compeltely different to the 2ZZGE kit? well it would be as thats the Gen7 engine smile.gif

The Gen6 beams push 195bhp as apposed to the Altezza's 210bhp.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong, though I'm quite sure that the celica beams is different to the altezza beams. ie, the vvti works differently on both blocks.

Yea I read that the black top Beams has both the intake and exhaust as variable and the red top is only one of them.

Yup, that's the one i read... Celica Beams is on intake only

Does any one no how much harder a beams swap would be compared to a 3sgte swap

i would say about the same if not easier cuz it should come with the tranny that you will want (LSD FTW!!!) as well as you won't need to put in all the extra gauges that you will want with a turbo set up. the 3sgte will give you a lot more power though.

although you do need a beams speedo and tach because your stock ones wont work with that motor...
