have you guys seen the new ipod?
looks like a iPhone but it doesnt have a camera a phone or google maps...
it DOES come with Wi-Fi and everything else
299 for a 8gig.....

is this definate? ive seen many mock-ups of what ppl want the new ipod to look like. and this is one of them? j/w.
looks awesome tho. thats alot for only 8gigs

i wouldn't say that's alot. they are charging 250 for 8gb on the nano. this has so many features it's not even funny. i hope this is for real cuz that's pretty flippin sweet if it is.

edit: go to apple.com it'll tell you all about it. hmm... i was actually debating on getting a nano to put in my car. maybe i will get this then put my 30gb in the car...

this is real they will be released within the week...

www.apple.com has this new ipod touch and the new ipod nano.

doesn't have "notes", "camera", "maps", "stocks", "weather", and only uses wifi (as opposed to wifi and edge network. i think its a lame watered down version of the iphone. the cost is too much considering the fact that you can get a fully loaded iphone for $300 now ($400 for 8 gig).

compared to my iphone, it just looks so....empty thumbsdown.gif

so when i turned on the news, i saw the new ipod and such, and teh 8gig, is 399 according to it. still alot. ill stick w/ what i have for now

the 8gig touch is only 299. the 16 gig is 399
personally i don't think i would get a touch when i could get an iphone for about the same price. also i was told that you can't unlock the iphone like you can with most other phones that use the SIM Cards. does anyone have any info on that?
if i didn't already have my 30 gig vid i would get a new 80gig classic maybe even the 160 gig. sadly that ipod has more memory than my laptop LOL. i plan on getting a new 4gig nano with my next paycheck and leave my 30 gig in my car.
the pricing is actually really good considering the prices of the older ipods.
i couldn't find anything on the battery life of the new ipods. does anyone know the battery life on the new nano?

I thought I heard on the news that some like 15 year old kid unlocked the iphone. I guess he got 3 locked ones and a 350z from a phone reseller

i just got my ipod nano and im fine with it. I cant imagine needing anymore than 8gb for music. I dont want a device that does everything. I like having seperate devices for certain things. Ipod for music, phone for communication, computer for computer type uses etc

the thing holding me back from getting an iPhone is the fact that i love my phone and just need a MP3 player lol

i like it, but i think they totally just owned everyone who bought an iphone.
i would probably consider buying it, just to use it as a portable computer for web browsing. i can see alot of people writing some nice 3rd party apps for it too.

i notice the NES app on your iphone forkee. is that just an emulator? was that hard to put on there? if there is a way to put that on the touch i may just get one just for that LOL.

yea its just a regular nintendo emulator. theres a computer program that you use to download it straight to the iphone, takes less than 5 seconds.

for sure ipod touch users will be able to download the same programs biggrin.gif

if your just going to use it for the nes emulator i wouldnt recommend it. the controls are hard to operate since its a touchscreen with no tactile feedback (hard to feel where the buttons are without looking). if you want a good system emulator pda i highly recommend the tapwave zodiac 2. its a touchscreen pda but it also has game buttons that work well with any game. its around 100 bucks and the games are free, of course.

I dont see whats so good about the iphone anyway nothing special other then its all touch screen which has its downsides like anything else.

Its the greatest novel device ever. Extreme design over function ergonomic.
Its quite stupid that you have to look at the thing whenever you need to change song, change volume or mute it when its in your pocket or the sexy cases..Quite a downgrade in easy of use for something "prettier". ..suckers! haha! wink.gif

imo, there's nuthing great bout the iphone. i sell them and tried them out and i don't think they're impressive.

o but i do. i set it on random and just let it go. if im not in the mood for the song i skip to the next one. i have roughly 17gb of music on my comp. im huge on music. i would die without it. i dont watch much tv unless there is a good game worth watchin on

i have 8 gigs of music alone. the lord of the rings trilogy takes up 6+ gigs by itself biggrin.gif
in total i have 18.99 gigs in movies, 8.16 gigs in music, 6.54 in tv shows and 9.23 gigs in podcasts. in total that leaves me with like 42.92 gigs of media. tongue.gif
i'm not saying i would ever need the 160 gig or even the 80 gig but 8gig just isn't big enough for me.

The iPhones are great now that there are software hacks for them, so they can be used on any network.

check this site for a how to. I hate at&t so I'm thrilled about being about being able to get an iPhone on sprint.
