Extra Furnace in My house - 6G Celicas Forums

Has anybody noticed if their celica remains warm for longs periods of time. Everytime i park in my garage, it puts the temperaure high rocket. Is this normal. Or should i start looking for a new cooling system. The temp gauge is ok, never overheated. Im just worried it wont cool down quik... anything that can help?

just the nature of a cast iron engine block i suppose.

keep the freezer door open. biggrin.gif

if you're that worried. pop your hood and use a fan.

mine does the same in the garage. i wouldn't worry.

I also think the engine seems to stay warm for a long time, since you got to wait 20++ minutes after shutdown before checking the oil level to get the correct reading.. ?? tongue.gif I thought it was normal with 10 mins or so smile.gif

mines stay hot for hours. but again ive been holding 100+ for about 30 mins or so

i held anout 5600 RPM for about 20 min, then the engine cooled down normaly..
takes a long time. always has..
