I want this engine! -- drool --

This post has been edited by kcizzle: Feb 5, 2009 - 7:12 PM
yea..i was gonna post this, but i knew it was bound to show up sooner or later..i get bored n go to barnes n noble or borders n read all the car mags. i remember this one having a picture of a bunch of 20v 4ages n 3sgtes in a storage room..omg..made me wanna go break in there!

the info in the mag is pretty straightforward n good stuffs biggrin.gif

Pandelica 2.0 in progress.
i love how the main pic is of a 7th gen that didn't even have one in it. LOL
what a load of crap!!!
after looking over the article i do have to somewhat retract my previous statement because that particular 7th gen does have a 3sgte dropped in it AWD conversion too.
i still think that they shoulda had a gt4 as the main pic not the 7th gen.

Call me a traitor! See if I care. ;)
Is this the most recent Red Line? Usually this mag is crap, I guess it's pretty popular over here? At least it seems that way.

1998 Toyota Celica GT2007 Subaru Impreza WRX STi2007 Toyota Tacoma 4x41974 Datsun 260Z1997 Subaru Legacy L WagonKind of missin' my Celica GT! Hit me up if you're ever in my area. I'm always down for a meet.
it is the most recent..i literally read all of the import car/sport compact magazines cuz im bored. sadly, there are not that many toyotas that pop up in all the mags..mainly 1)evos 2)scoobs 3)hondas 4)nissans

havent really seen a celica for about 2 months now..but even then it was a 7th gen model that was being featured.

yea..they shoulda had a GT4 for the article, i just figured they had to put something recent..i think its the Fensport Celica that has the 3sgte in it that has made a bit of a ruckus. its pretty fast..

thank god for 3sgte.

bloody hell..it does say its the fensport celica..lol

Pandelica 2.0 in progress.

actually this is the fensport celica. it has a 576hp 3sgte motor in it.its used for time attck events.
heres the write up on it!
this mag says the stock pistons are only good for 340BHP, ill agree with that.
hyde is just a freak.

woot! Adrian's 10sec Celica..

why all the 7thgen bitterness? LOL
You know, my wife said she wanted me to give here celica (a 7th gen) more power, so I looked into some turbo kits for it and they are over $4000.00 for most of them!? I could get a 2nd gen 3s-gte and throw some cash at it for the same price!

Though it's already been done, still not a bad idea......

CLOSED on 25 acres!-shop coming soon....

Jessie I can get it at the barnes and noble by me if you want me to pick it up for you and give it to you at the meet.

I was reading it this morning with coffee and my dad thought i was looking at porn because of the advertisement in the magazine. It's for downloads for your cell phone of nekkid ladies doing... err.. stuff.

Sorry Lagos, I already deleted the bigger scans and posted the smaller ones since it takes time for the high resolution to load.

That's what I thought too, why a 7th gen. I was already excited seeing a 6th Gen featured as I was flipping the pages, oh well...

The nozzle is on the throttle body.....it dosnt work though, like all of the other st205wrc goodies they are just "there" non of them as you no doubt know, are functioning.
Some more info about the ST205wrc water injection:

This info was posted to our Dutch celica forum,

I began driving my ST205 WRC in January 2005. The only problem that I had with the car was that every time I filled up the windscreen washer water bottle, the water simply leaked out of the bottle all over my driveway!

So on Easter Monday (28/3/05) I decided to remove the washer bottle from the car to find the cause of the leak (I guessed that the problem would be a cracked bottle). This would also give me the opportunity to investigate the water injection (WI) and spray bar components on the WRC which I already knew a fair bit about from reading Dan Johnson's site (http://www.st205.net/).

Once I had marked up the various water lines, disconnected them and removed the washer bottle, it was easy to see the water injection motor, water spray bar and windscreen washer motors. Unfortunately I could not see any cracks in the washer bottle or lines, so my leak was obviously not coming from there!
IPB Image

As the bottle was out of the car, and the motors easy to get to, I thought that it would be interesting to test the WI and spray bar motors to see how they worked. I connected some wires to the terminals of the motors and then connected the wires up to the 12v car battery in my ST185CS.

I did some fiddling around, tested the battery and wires etc. but I could not get the motors to spin over or show any sign of coming to life. So I concluded from this that the WI and spray bar motors on the ST205WRC are DUMMIES! Although the motors have wires and connectors, they probably do not have any electrical innards. This is a real shame!
IPB Image

Undeterred, I decided to carry on investigating the various WI lines.

WI lines 1 and 2 both travel from the WI valve shown above, up inside the wheel arch dust cover and into the engine bay near the drivers side shock turret. Both lines then run along the standard strut brace and between the two middle chambers/runners of the intake manifold.

WI line 1 then separates from line 2, where it travels under the intake manifold plenum chamber and into the WI sprayer located in the throttle body, just behind the throttle butterfly (shown below).

WI line 2 (shown below) travels downwards in front of the intake manifold, then it goes into a T piece. One of the lines out of the T piece then connects into a fitting on chamber/runner no. 1 of the intake manifold (which I presume is just blanked off/a dummy fitting).

The other line out of the T piece drops down under the head of the engine and into a dummy fitting in the centre of what my EPC called the Idle Control Valve.
