Hello I just tried my 19" TSW thruxton wheels and tires on my celica they look great but are too big they slow the car down too much. My problem is I love the deep dish they have especially the rear set which is 9.5" wide they have a 3.5" dish.

-I am only interested in buying rims with a deep dish. I can't find any, or a list of any, I am thinking of 17" rims with a deep dish can anyone show me a good company to go to for this style rim or where to look?



-I originally picked my thruxtons as they are exactly the same as Nibbe so I didn' shop around and find how to locate deep dishes.


-Can you even get 17" rims with a deep dish? Oh I also want them to be light weight if possible????

Well I have been trying to figure this out for the last 3 hours. If one were to order a deep dish rim with a smaller offset say 25 instead of 35 would it pull the spokes in and hub into the wheel instead of sitting flush with the outside of the wheel like (35 offset does on my 8" rim) thus making the deep dish part stand out or look more pronounced like it does on my (9.5" wide rim with a 35 offset).

-Then one would use a 10mm spacer shim to get the total offset correct so the wheel would clear everything??


-Is this commonly done, ordering a smaller offset then needed to get the deep dish look and then using a shim to properly setup the offset????? I am friging losing my mind over this any thoughts pics

-Is there anything one can do if the bolt pattern is not 5x100 ? that seems to be another issue to resolve??

i got an adaptor made from them that changed it from 5x100 to 5x114.3 i got some wheels on ebay that were stamped 5x100 so the seller thought thats what they were, turns out they were 5x114.3 i didnt wanna part with them so i had the adaptors made. they work well and actually pushed the wheels out right to the lip of the fender and they sit flush now. Hope this helps.

that's because deep dish wheel designs are dependent on low offsets. FWD cars typically do NOT wear low offset wheels, therefore... VERY difficult to find low offset wheels that will look deep dish and fit decently well.. let alone being 9.5 inches wide

Thanks guys I spent 4 hours last night looking to see if ordering the wrong offset and then getting a shim would give me the look I am after. However, I don't believe that idea will work at all. If anyone has any deep dish rims that they think look nice I'd like to check them out if possible. Thanks......

-Oh if I could find a 17" rim that was say 9" wide or even 8.5" that might give me the wide ldeep dish look I want but I can't find one rim that is 17" x 8.5 or 9" wide anybody know of any????

volk racing gtc come with a fairly deep dish. you can get them with a slightly deeper dish than mine
