Well heres the story: GTI is being traded for the wifes "new" car ('04 X3). So I get the Celica, YAY! Now.... Its a 99 GT with a 5S, autotragic. I would like to convert to a full GT-FOUR. Body and All, but also; I'm looking for power. I know I can always turbo the 5S, but I would still have to trade out the Tranny for a 5 speed. So I figure I would rather swap out the powerplant along with the transmission. I would really like to transplant a 2nd (or even better a 3rd) gen. 3SGTE in there and convert the FWD auto to a 4WD 5 speed. Any advice would greatly help. What I should look for while shopping for the 3sgte or what I should prepare for during the swap.

OK, how about if I ask a different question...

Can I use a JDM 3sgte (rhd) engine/tranny to drop into my USDM gt?
