Exhaust Manifold to Head Gasket - 6G Celicas Forums

I ordered a 17173-88382 but dealership said 17173-88381 is the same...

is this gasket separated into 2 pieces? so i need 2 order 2 (to install a 3sgte exhaust manifold onto 5sfe head)

No, you only need one order of 17173-88381 (come in 2 pieces).

o. cause i looked @ mine. it looks kind of weird. it looks like 2 pieces stuck together. the ends are stuck together but the middle kind of comes apart? is it supposed to be like that? and then you pull it apart?

It's a layered gasket.
This allows different expansion rates for the cast iron and aluminum when they heat up.

There are 2 sides, left and right.
They're interchangeable.

damn... mine only came with one... i guess i'll needa ask the dealership?
