Topic #52478 46 posts Started by BlackCelicaGT94
Im so sad right now. I cleaned up the celica really quickly because it may be sold within the hour. I posted it on Craigslist on Saturday for 3,000 bucks and a guy said he wanted it so hes on his way with cashiers check in hand :-(

I never thought id feel so strongly for something. I wish I didnt ahve to sell it

This is sad. Is it a young guy? Older guy? Will he be joining 6GC?

What is even more sad is that you never responded to my pleas of swapping headlights!

So its gone. I couldnt stick around to meet the buyer because I had a VW meet to get to and honestly i couldnt bare to watch someone take it :-(

Well I guess it went to a kid about my age and he was really psyched that he got it. He had eyed it at a car show a few years back and was so excited that it was the same car. Im really happy it went to someone who loves the car and will give it the TLC it needs that I just couldnt give right now.

I wrote him on myspace and directed him to the site so we will see if he shows up on here.

Man, sucks that you had to get rid of your celi. good thing is, sounds like it went to a good home. Hope this new guy does join the 6gc community.

OMG this year is so weird! Its crazy how we are both selling our cars @ the same time *sigh* Well...I havent put mine up for sale yet but I will be doing it soon kindasad.gif (not by choice)

I dont blame you for not wanting to watch someone take it. I probably wont want to either w/ mine *sigh* Im going to be keeping my rims & subs though...so at least Ill have some things from the celi w/ me still...!
I did a dance the day I got rid of my celi. Then again my car was a daily headache

because it needed some TLC and money dropped in it that I can not really give it right now. I cant be without a car as my dad fixes it on the weekends plus he needs to focus on the Supra and get that running again. The car went to a great guy who has seen it at a car show a few years ago so im happy that it went to an enthusiast.

Ok the car payemtns Ill give it to you(getting financing young can be hard), but when I had my Z it was classified as a high performance car, Im 22 and i only paid 150 month, and I pay 100 for my benz

Now I pay 125 for my bmw and 100 for the benz....your insurance hates you. (plus i only have a 500 ded.)

Whatever...NJ is NOTORIOUS for having the most expensive insurance in this nation and i dont even pay half that much. I think NJ is the 2nd most expensive state to own car insurance in. With my brand new car, i got quoted for 126 dollars a month (under my own name). Either your insurance co. is ripping u off or ur a really bad driver. And i think my new car is faster or just as fast as yours. How ur paying that much still boggles my mind...

Washington State: 2007 Premium - $1,860
New Jersey: 2007 Premium - $2,568

National Average - $1,896

Your state is below the nations average premium and i think your paying double. How is that?

I have a Negligence 2 on my record. I am one step down from having a criminal offense on it so im a high risk driver plus im young.

First time insurerer who is high risk pays alot. They said that after the first initial 6 months it will go down. Its actually cheaper thru the company im going thru then what i woulda paid if i went with the company my dad uses.

not too mention its full coverage with 500 dollar deductible.

dang natalie - u really take a beating on this site sometimes its not cool! common guys im sure she did her research the best she could before signing up w/ that insurance company. Noooo one is going to accept a high ass insurance like that with out doing their homework 1st lol...

I myself have 2nd negligence on my record as well, got it almost 3 years ago (i cant wait until it drops off my record in January!!) Insurance for me w/ the celi is $256 a month. Plus my car payment is $248 which is why I am selling it. I cant afford to pay both like that anymore *sigh*
Well, I'm glad you can afford that... that's insane.

Honestly, If I were paying that much, I sure as hell wouldn't be getting a new car... And a loan on a downpayment? That's tough

It just seems like a big financial pitfall to me, but goodluck

I make good money so its either I move out and waste 1500 a month and dont own anything at the end of it or buy a car and spend 800 a month.
