Hey guys, got a bit of a problem. Recently my celica has started making this really weird ticking noise when I start to accelerate! If I have my windows down and my music down, I can hear it over the air filter and exhaust.

Any input is appreciated!

When's the last time you checked your oil? If It's really low, It will make a similar noise. I havent had that problem before. Not sure, sorry I couldnt be of more help. -Phil

if you hear it at idle too then maybe its a lifter tick, not a bad thing just sounds like total and complete crap

you have a looose valve spring i think?!?!?! i adjusted my own valve springs with some help/supervision from my cuz.

I think i need to do the same..i might need to have my valve springs adjusted coz i get the same thing..its not as bad..if anything u can only hear it when the engine is cold..buy the way..why is it when ur runnin low on petrol and u unscrew the petrol cap u get a little rush of air shoot out..?my car isnt farting is it..?
